Review #1 : Pelamin Akad Nikah

Assalamualaikum :))

For the first review.. lets have a look at my solemnization dais.. tadaa~


Hee.. It was done by me and my mom using 80% available things at home. So yeah..it is a simple & budget DIY pelamin. The sketches below was my original ideas. Well, it turn out like i imagine only that adalah jugak banyak cacat cela nya.. buat-buat tak nampak je eh? hehe... It was my first time designing & creating the dais with limited time, sources & money... But i'm satisfied..


Almost everything you see in the picture is the existing stuff in the house.

1. curtains
2. sofa
3. carpet
4. pillow

Lucky enough I have such a sweet friend to borrow her awesome glass stand and platform, thank you Ain :))

The only thing that I have to buy is

1. two mini spotlight
2. glass vast
3. artificial orchids & leaves
4. fresh green bushes (which my mom use to decorate her garden later on)
5. Crepe paper for the paper flowers on the backdrop.

I was thinking to make a larger paper flower backdrop like these which was sooo beautifully done by the bride themselves:

...but I ran out of crepe paper. I look everywhere for the matching colors, went to 4 stores but all ran out of stock. Soo..I just have to settle with my original ideas.

I wish I can do this again... I hope my 16 years old sister will get marry soon so I can do hers.. HAHA..

#17 Simple & Budget Pelamin

Finally I get to continue my "pelamin anganku musnah" story.. kecoh betul, masalah xdelah besar sgt pun..haha.. InsyaAllah, to every problems there's a solution ;)

Ok, where was I? ohh.. I CAN'T HIRE ANYONE TO DO THE DAIS..

Sooo..looks like i have to go DIY for my solemnization dais with this very uncreative hands of mine..huhu.. Since mom said she don't want me to hire anyone, i suppose the dais should be very simple and should not invest a lot of money in it..

What i have in mind is to use the available curtain in my house.. luckily there's a huge sliding door in the house, and mom loves plain and earth color curtains. tettenenet!!! So that is where it's going to be my so called dais now..haha. Are you guys with me? I did a little search on the Internet, here are some dais that used existing curtains in the house..

Oppss..there's no curtain here..hehehe.. It's very simple right? We don't need to buy a lot of stuff.. But the right combination of colors will make the "budget" dais looks exclusive i suppose. I still want to try to put in some paper flowers and origami in the background.. teheee ^__^ Wish me luck ya??

#16 Pelamin Anganku Musnah

I'm a bit down today..just a bit..doesn't effect my daily routine. You know how every bride-to-be would have their dream wedding/solemnization dais? Well i had one..it will remain as a dream dais forever.. DREAM dais.. not REALITY DAIS. huhuhu.. Since my solemnization is the only event that i'm not sharing with my sister, so I thought I could come out with the dais ideas 100% according to what I like.. without taking consideration how my sister would do her's. But... wait, i'll tell you the 'but' story later.. Before that..let me show you my DREAM solemnization dais... All these dais are made by Persada Embun & Party Popperz. I love the wooden backdrop concept and the colorful paper flowers and origami on the backdrop. I love love love love the dais~

Buttt... ok here goes the but..

After a conversation with my mom and my fiance (ewah) today.. they decided "NO PELAMIN FOR AKAD NIKAH!!" wahh.. dramatic sungguh kann nak bold kan statement mereka..hahaha.

My mom said the reason is that I'm gonna a big wedding dais on the reception day itself..so no need for another one at home. I told her.. no it's not for bersanding, but it's for taking pictures during and after the solemnization event.. At least the event will look good in the pictures since we also hiring a professional photographer. After coaxing and convincing about the idea of I NEED TO HAVE A DAIS with to mom and fiance, they finally agree to my ideas... buttttt..

there's another "but"...

I can't hire anyone to do the dais...
